Marching begins today

The 8th graders started off class reviewing how to march in step when playing the music.  To accomplish this, they used marching boards where they strapped their feet to a couple of long 2x4s with 4 other people.  It was a challenge for some, but still fun.

The 7th graders learned a new scale today (Line 167, Concert F Major).  They also finished sightreading Ghosts in the Graveyard.

In 6th grade band, Mr. Bley had to be gone to work at the home football game in Manhattan.  Mr. Baker filled in and walked the class through a worksheet as they viewed portions of a video featuring the Canadian Brass Quintet.
