6th grade band students reviewed important musical concepts today by creating metaphors. They also played through two songs for their concert. In 7th grade, the students played through all three songs for the band concert. They also have been working on a chorale and a new scale (Concert F Major). The 8th grade band members reviewed marching techniques outside today. Several of them were introduced to the parts of the football field for the first time. The students also marching in a circle while playing their music for the show.
A reminder that the deadline for students to turn in their shirt order forms and money is next Tuesday so that the shirts can be printed in time for the band concert. If you will not be able to play for a shirt, please send a note with your student indicating their adult shirt size.
