In the Groove

New Notes and New Song

Creating Metaphors

6th grade band students reviewed important musical concepts today by creating metaphors.  They also played through two songs for their concert.  In 7th grade, the students played through all three songs for the band concert.  They also have been working

Marching in all directions

The 8th graders can march in all directions now!  They also learned different step sizes.  In 7th grade band, they are working on their 3 songs for the concert.  6th graders worked on one of their songs for the concert.

Students Continue Progress in Band

The 7th graders finished sightreading Chalumeau today.  Tomorrow they have a playing test over line 171 (Concert Ab Major Scale).  They will also be sightreading another piece called Ghosts in the Graveyard.  They are getting better at tuning each day.

Another Wonderful Day of Band
